*personal work rant*
Over nighted the wrong part for a guy today, but my coworker caught it thankfully. But that means I have the wrong part coming with freight on it to overnight it and now the correct part on order with 3 times the freight value than what I quoted and charged the guy.
Over all the right part will be here for the customer tomorrow and his vehicle will get fixed, but I am really beating myself up over this for some reason. I just hate fucking up things at work.
On top of that, it has been a very very very long week and I am ready for it to be over.

Don’t beat yourself up too bad (though I understand, I’m the same way with myself).
I ordered a wrong side (RT instead of LT) El Camino quarter panel about a year ago. Non-refundable, freighted in item. It was about a $700 screw-up. Didn’t realize it until the part came in and we were unboxing and checking damage. Immediately went and found my boss (the shop owner), and told him what happened, and that I was paying for it. He looked at me and said “the hell you’re paying for it, you’ve caught and fixed how many of my screw ups this year alone?”. Still pissed at myself every time I walk past it in parts storage.
P.S. For sale, 1968-1972 El Camino full right quarter panel, price negotiable.

that’s pretty minor.
I once accidentally set a group policy for the directors printer to be the default for everyone on the network instead of just the directorate. I caught it within a minute, but by the time I rolled it back and applied a different one to remove it from the 2000 or so machines it had attached itself to the printer had about 300 jobs.
because people are lazy and don’t check what printer they’re printing to.

Screwing up sucks but it happens.
At least someone caught it. I’ve over nighted parts to the wrong place and didn’t realize it until it didn’t show up. Double freight and parts were late.

Well nice of you to offer to fix it for them. But yeah that is a rough one. I just hate fucking it up small or large.
Thankfully the big screw up of today of ordering the wrong radiator was the tech’s fault and thus the shop has to pay for it.

That is the worst, thankfully none of the manufactures dropship, so everything comes here./
